PLEASE READ DESCRIPTION BELOW
Public health officers in Canada are recommending that you wear a non-medical cloth mask when you are outside the home for essential tasks, to help slow the spread of COVID-19. In New Brunswick, masks are now required in situations where physical distancing is difficult, such as at the grocery store.
Our cloth masks have:
- two layers of dense, breathable, washable fabric. The layers are different colours or fabrics so that you can clearly see which is the inside
- a pocket between the layers for you to add an additional filter if you wish
- straps to tie and secure your mask to your head
- a bendable wire in the nose section to help fit the mask more closely to your face
- been pre-washed and shrunk to increase density
These masks are not medical grade and should not be worn by medical professionals in a health care setting.
We will be donating $1 from each mask to the local food bank and $1 to Transition House (our local women's shelter.)
What you will receive
You will receive your mask, washing instructions, care instructions, and educational information about what your non-medical mask will and will not protect you from. We will deliver your donated mask to an essential worker. All mask sales are final.

- Medium is recommended for most women and teens.
- Large is recommended for men that don't fall into the categories we described above.
Colours and Materials
Starting April 27, we will be making all masks with a yarn dyed 100% cotton gingham layer and a hemp/organic cotton layer. Both fabrics are densely woven, pre-washed and shrunk, and soft against the skin. They are also Oeko-Tex® Standard 100 certified.
Small Children and Infants
Our masks are not designed for small children and infants. If a child is not old enough to understand why they are wearing a mask and they don't have the discipline not to touch it, putting a mask on your child may actually increase their risk of exposure. The best thing you can do for your small children is to keep them at home. If you are a single parent, there are numerous groups in our community and in other communities that are willing and able to help run your errands for you (ask us for local groups in Charlotte County) to help you keep your children safe. If you must go out with your child, enforce strict physical distancing.
General Mask Information
The number one thing you can do to protect yourself and others is to STAY HOME, wash your hands frequently and remain physically distant from people who don't live in your household.
Any mask is better than not wearing a mask, however staying at home is better than ANY mask you could wear.
This mask will not protect you from contracting COVID-19. It should only be worn for brief periods while you are outside your house performing essential tasks, such as grocery shopping, when physical distancing is challenging.
Wearing a cloth mask is a way to protect other people from being exposed to you and potential germs you may carry, by reducing the number of droplets you exhale from reaching others. It can also reduce the number of droplets you inhale.
We do ask that you please only order the number of masks that you actually need. You will only be able to order a maximum of 6 masks so that more people will be able to get a mask. The masks are washable and reusable.
Larger orders/bulk orders
If you want to order a larger number of masks, please email Abby at email@example.com to arrange separately or fill out this online form to place an order.
We have capacity to produce between 50 and 60 masks a day, while attending to our own health, wellness, and safety during this time. If we receive enough orders that there will be a delay of more than 4 days in shipping your mask, we will let you know and we will pause ordering to allow us to catch up. Please understand as well that our postal system is under a lot of stress and delays in shipping are beyond our control.
Thank you for your interest, and thank you for your understanding if we take a little bit to answer your questions. We're working as fast as we can!
